Before you answer, start with a glass of ruby merlot – limited vintage, of course – accompanied by a napoleon of earthy mushrooms and smoked duck. Or, try a chilled, crisp chardonnay with curried crab and Maine lobster salad, enlivened with mango and lemon ginger. Next, have grilled ostrich, braised pork shank, duck breast, or sauteed skatewing. Over 700 bottles of wine are on offer, 60 of them are under $30, and 42 are available by the glass. This wonderful restaurant, run by the Courtright husband/wife team, could stand on its own anywhere, city proper or not-so-sleepy suburbs.
